Just checked the weekly close. Gold’s doing that thing again—you know the one. The weekly close above $2,650 was the first structural confirmation that the correction was over. That was the signal, plain and simple. Everything since has just been price working out the details, nothing more.

Now we’re sitting at $4,100 and change, watching for a retest of the highs. Current state? Bullish structure, short-term chop. Honestly, the levels matter more than the narrative right now, because narratives shift, but levels don’t lie.

So here’s what I’m tracking. $4,203 is near-term resistance. A clean H4 close above that? That opens the retest. Not a breakout in the traditional sense, just the door creaking open. Below that, we’re stuck in the mud.

Actually no, let me rephrase that—it’s not stuck, it’s coiling. There’s a difference. Coiling means it’s gathering energy. Stuck means nobody cares. And clearly, people care, given the volume we saw on Friday.

Anyway, I’m not overthinking it. The weekly structure says up, the daily momentum says up, and the hourly? Well, the hourly’s just being a diva, as usual. So I’m holding my longs, and I’ll add on that H4 close above $4,203. If we get a rejection instead, I’ll trim and wait. Simple as that.

What do you think—are you watching the same levels, or is your line in the sand somewhere else?

Skipped leg day for this? Gold went 40 points — $4,067 to $4,108 — and I watched every single candle like it owed me money. Still misread the close. Every time.

The trade itself? Cost me nothing. Flat. But the workout I skipped? That cost me momentum. Real loss right there. I gave up something I actually control for a market that couldn't give two shits if I'm staring at it.

So now I close positions before my warmup. Every time. No exceptions.

The market's still there after deadlifts. It always is.

The worst trade you'll ever make isn't the one that lost you money. It's the one you place immediately after.

Two weeks ago, NFP hit. My stop-loss got taken—clean, quick, brutal. And before the H1 candle even closed, I was back in. Bigger size. Tighter stop. Revenge trading.

It never works.

Every blown account I've reviewed follows the same path. One bad loss. Then the spiral. The first trade was a loss, sure. But the next five? A funeral. Each one digging deeper, chasing the same red number like it owed me something.

I've seen it in my own charts, my own P&L, my own gut feeling that says "just one more, you'll get it back." That voice is a liar.

So now I have a 3-day rule. No entries after a loss that exceeds 2R. Not one. Not even a "small" scalp. Three full days of sitting on my hands, watching the market move without me. It feels like missing out. But missing out beats blowing up.

Every single time.

Look, I’ll be straight with you—moving to higher timeframes changed everything for me. I spent three years staring at M5 charts, all that noise, and honestly, how much energy did I waste? Most scalpers I know fall into the same trap: they confuse activity with progress. But rhythm isn’t about speed. I learned that from swimming, believe it or not—40 laps at 6 a.m. every day. You don’t fight the water. You let it carry you. The daily trend is that current. So why would you fight it? That’s just asking for trouble, right?

I’m ready.

Third rejection at 1.1050 this month. Sellers are building a wall on the 4H — actually no, let me rephrase — every rally gets sold faster than the last. I've seen this pattern enough times to know momentum is dying. Short biased until 1.0950 gives way. Monday's Asia gap is the tell. Open below 1.1000 and we're heading lower fast.

I've been burned by triple rejections before. First one you ignore. Second gets your attention. Third changes your mind.

Alright, I just checked the H4 close on XAUUSD. $4,032. And honestly? The sell order book is completely dead. Like, is that even normal? You hit a record high—who wouldn't be rushing to take profits, right? But nope, not this time. Sellers are all just sitting on the sidelines. That's the real signal. You don't need a PhD to read this: when supply dries up at a peak, pressure only goes one way. I've seen this before—back in 2020, and again last year. Same pattern, different excuses. Does history ever lie? Actually no, let me rephrase—history doesn't repeat, but it rhymes.

Could be a fake breakout, though. Always a chance.

Woke up at 5:50. Water was cold. 6:30 AM lap one—that first slice through the surface when the world hasn't woken up yet. By lap ten, my brain stops overthinking the H4 close. This isn't mindfulness. It's too cold to care. Better than any indicator at cutting through the fog, don't you think? But here's the thing—does "too cold to care" count as a trading strategy? Rhythm reset: short sentences slice through the water ("Water cold.") Not even close. Every single time I try to force a clean narrative out of it, I end up staring at a blank chart. Lap fifteen, I'm just counting strokes. That's it. No grand revelation. Just cold water and a rhythm that doesn't care about my P&L.

I held through the CPI miss and lost exactly 2% , here's what that cost me beyond the dollars. ---

At my desk in Singapore, 5PM. Marking levels for the NY open. Wednesday afternoon. CPI was supposed to be a nothingburger. It wasn't. Number came in hot. Core CPI 0.3% vs 0.2% expected. My gold long was already in from Asian session , D1 structure was bullish, clean retracement at 61.8%, and I had the balls to take it. Then the print hit. First 5 minutes: gold dropped $18.

I closed my EUR/USD short for a small gain. Then it dropped another 200 pips. Patience, not analysis, was the real edge. But here's the thing—if you can't hold a position when you're right, what's the point of being accurate? Sound familiar?

H4 bearish divergence. Resistance held. Clean setup, clear logic. But I bailed on the first pullback. I read the direction right. I just didn't trust it. That's not a strategy problem. That's a gap in conviction. Honestly? I've learned my lesson now.

Direction was right. Entry was wrong. Still lost money.

Gold ran from 4053 to 4116 today. Classic breakout. Everyone jumps in long after the move's already happened. Then what? Price pulls straight back to 4078.

I've seen this play out a hundred times. The market isn't trying to punish the bulls. It's just reminding us of something simple:

When a move has already run 60 bucks, stop asking "how much higher can it go?" Start asking "how much pullback can my entry survive?"

That's the real question.

If 4080 doesn't hold — and it didn't — then 4053 is the next line in the sand. Don't even think about a recovery bounce until we reclaim 4095.

NFA. Just my two cents from years of getting burned the same way.

Being a noob in trading? That's the original sin. Nothing else really matters.

But hey — we've all been there. Everyone has their noob moments.

Stay humble. Stay self-reflective. You'll improve.

Most people who lose money? They're noobs who don't even know it.

Same path. Some take it. Some don't.

It's not about the path. It's about whether you've got the guts.

I've seen traders fall hard—lose everything, blow up accounts. Some of them never come back. They sit on the sidelines forever, scared of their own shadow.

But the ones with a real goal? They get back up. Battered, bruised, bleeding pips—doesn't matter. They keep charging forward.

Honestly? People aren't that different from each other. It all comes down to one thought. One decision. One moment where you choose to keep going or walk away.

Keep pushing. Your dreams will come true.
