# Why Gold Prices Are Soaring and Plunging

Intraday short-term reference:

Long in the OB zone — 4040-4045 Short at the hourly neckline — 4110-4130

Here's the thing. Gold won't go up in July-August. The timing's off. The sentiment's off.

And look at crude oil — it keeps bouncing back. The dollar and U.S. Treasuries are sitting at highs. So honestly? There's no real reason for gold or silver to rally right now.

Gold just printed its fourth straight monthly bearish candle. The structure? Still tilted to the downside. No question about it.

On the weekly chart, we saw resistance again around the 4900 area — same story, different month. Price rolled over and drifted lower, choppy as hell. It broke below previous support and then sliced through the 4000 handle. That weakened the trend even further. Yeah, we got a short-term bounce, but it couldn't hold. Classic fakeout.

Now on the daily, gold is stuck in a wide-range consolidation. I'm watching the 4000 level closely — that's my key support below. Here's the thing: we're in a consolidation phase within a downtrend. Just waiting for a breakout. Could go either way, but the bias is still bearish until proven otherwise.

I need to stay sharp on the risks here.

Early next week, I'll keep an eye on the 4080 area as resistance above. And obviously, the 4000 support. If we break below that? I'm looking at the 3960/3940 zone next. That's where things could get interesting.

The highest state of mind? Honestly? It's learning to let things happen.

What you accept feeds you. What you fight? It drains you dry.

I've seen this play out more times than I can count. The root of suffering isn't the market moving against you — it's the constant battle with reality. That stubborn insistence that things *must* go exactly the way you pictured them.

So let things go against you. Let people change their minds. Let your best trade hit stop-loss.

Here's the thing — allowing isn't lying flat. It's not giving up. It's deciding to stop bleeding energy from the inside out.

Next week, both the Fed and the Bank of England are expected to hold rates steady. But let's be real — all eyes are on the Fed.

Geopolitical tensions flared up again this month. That's reignited inflation pressures. And you know what that means? It could keep the Fed in its aggressive stance for longer.

I've seen this play out before. When geopolitics spike, inflation follows. And the Fed? They don't blink easily.

#Gold Jewelry Prices Plunge Overnight

Good weekend, I'm Lin.

Here's my take on gold right now:

1: The long-term downtrend hasn't changed. Shorting is still the main theme. Look, a real structural rally? Not until September through December. That's just how it is.

2: Intraday, we're stuck in a range. 4200–3960. That's 23 trading days of this nonsense.

So here's what I do — as long as the daily structure holds, I open positions around the range's support and resistance. Simple stuff.

Before a breakout? It's just back-and-forth. Boring. Predictable.

After a breakout? I follow the trend. No hesitation.

Gold’s testing 2380 again. Third time this week. Same level, same hesitation.

Here’s what I’m watching. Past five times we hit resistance like this? Three were fakeouts. Quick spike above, then snap back within four hours. Trap or breakout? Look at the structure, not the news. Sound familiar?

On the daily, there’s a symmetrical triangle tightening since mid-June. Breakout above 2380 with a daily close? That’s a runner to 2420-2450. Rejection at 2380 with a long wick? We’re retesting 2340 support.

The Fed’s hawkish dots are still fresh — that’s the headwind. But gold’s holding above 2350 despite the pressure. Buyers are absorbing supply. Honestly, that tells me a lot.

My play? Wait for the daily close. No early entries. I got burned on fake breakouts before. Not doing that again.

If it closes above 2380, I’m in. If it rejects, I wait for 2340.

Simple.
