Direction was right. Entry was wrong. Still lost money. Gold ran from 4053 to 4116 today. Classic breakout. Everyone jumps in long after the move's already happened. Then what? Price pulls straight back to 4078. I've seen this play out a hundred times. The market isn't trying to punish the bulls. It's just reminding us of something simple: When a move has already run 60 bucks, stop asking "how much higher can it go?" Start asking "how much pullback can my entry survive?" That's the real question. If 4080 doesn't hold — and it didn't — then 4053 is the next line in the sand. Don't even think about a recovery bounce until we reclaim 4095. NFA. Just my two cents from years of getting burned the same way.

Beginners: do not try to catch a falling knife. A hundred-dollar drop feels scary but gold has been here before. It is called a correction, not a collapse. Wait for a clear support level to form before entering. The market will still be there next week.

Put option volume on gold is climbing. That tells me professional traders are hedging against further downside. If you are sitting on cash waiting to buy — do not rush. $4,000 is a psychological level, not a magic one. It will break both ways.
