美国8月贸易逆差达1056亿美元,为去年特朗普关税前以来最宽
Trade deficit hits $105.6 billion, widest since just before Trump tariffs enacted last year
The U.S. trade deficit expanded to US$105.6 billion in August, a month-on-month increase of 13.7%, and imports increased by 4.3%. That was above Dow Jones forecasts of $102 billion and the widest since a record deficit in March 2025. Goldman Sachs and the Atlanta Fed subsequently lowered their forecasts for U.S. economic growth in the third quarter.
The U.S. trade deficit has widened significantly and institutions such as Goldman Sachs have lowered their third-quarter GDP forecasts, indicating that the drag on growth from net exports is increasing, and the market's pricing of the U.S. economic resilience is facing re-examination. For gold, concerns about growth momentum and policy uncertainty may intensify its hedging concerns; in terms of foreign exchange, the US dollar's sensitivity to subsequent economic data and Fed policy expectations may further increase, which deserves traders' close tracking.
