Gold at $4044. All-time high. You know what I see most traders do at these levels? They freeze up. Completely. They sit there waiting for some magical "confirmation" signal. By the time their charts look safe, the move's already finished. I've been through this before, back when gold was at $2100, and my framework hasn't changed one bit. First thing on my desk: daily trend. Still bullish until price gives me a proper lower high. Simple as that.
Direction was right. Entry was wrong. Still lost money. Gold ran from 4053 to 4116 today. Classic breakout. Everyone jumps in long after the move's already happened. Then what? Price pulls straight back to 4078. I've seen this play out a hundred times. The market isn't trying to punish the bulls. It's just reminding us of something simple: When a move has already run 60 bucks, stop asking "how much higher can it go?" Start asking "how much pullback can my entry survive?" That's the real question. If 4080 doesn't hold — and it didn't — then 4053 is the next line in the sand. Don't even think about a recovery bounce until we reclaim 4095. NFA. Just my two cents from years of getting burned the same way.
