Every broker is tested with real money. No paid reviews. No sponsored ratings.
We evaluate gold brokers across 6 dimensions, each scored 1–10. The overall TRDE Gold Score is a weighted average — Regulation matters most (25%), followed by Spread and Execution (20% each). Every broker is tested with real money across Asian, London, and New York sessions. Scores are updated regularly based on ongoing testing. Full methodology below.
How well-regulated is the broker? We check top-tier licenses (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, FSCA), client fund segregation, negative balance protection, and compensation schemes. A broker with multiple Tier-1 regulators scores highest.
The average spread on XAUUSD during active trading hours. We measure during Asian, London, and NY sessions separately — a broker with tight spreads across all three wins. Raw/ECN accounts get bonus points.
Order execution speed measured in milliseconds. Fast execution means slippage protection, especially during high-volatility gold moves. We measure fill speed on both market and limit orders.
The trading platforms and tools available. MT4/MT5 support is essential for gold trading. We also evaluate charting tools, mobile experience, automated trading support, and platform stability.
How easy is it to fund and withdraw? We check deposit methods, processing times, fees, and whether withdrawals are hassle-free. Fast, low-fee withdrawals score highest.
Support quality tested through actual inquiries. We evaluate response time, language support, problem resolution, and availability (24/7 vs business hours). Multi-language support gets bonus.
We open a real account with our own money. Demo accounts are never used for scoring — only live trading conditions count.
We place real trades across Asian, London, and NY sessions. Data is collected on spreads, execution speed, slippage, and overall experience.
Each dimension is scored based on collected data. The weighted average becomes the TRDE Gold Score. We update scores as conditions change.

Real Money, Real Results
Every broker is tested with our own capital. Not demo accounts, not theoretical — real trades.
No Paid Reviews
Brokers cannot buy a better score. We do not charge brokers for reviews or accept sponsored ratings.
Regularly Updated
Spreads and execution conditions change. We re-test periodically and update scores to reflect current conditions.
Gold-Focused
We only test gold trading (XAUUSD). A broker great for forex may not be optimal for gold — we separate signal from noise.
No. Brokers cannot pay for reviews, ratings, or placement. Our revenue comes from affiliate commissions when users open accounts through our links — but this never affects scores. We disclose affiliate relationships transparently.
We review scores quarterly, or more frequently if market conditions change significantly. If a broker changes its spread structure or regulatory status, we update within one testing cycle.
Gold (XAUUSD) behaves differently from forex pairs. A broker with tight EURUSD spreads may have wide gold spreads. Execution during gold volatility sessions (London/NY overlap) matters more. Generic forex reviews miss this nuance.
Regulation and spread experience may vary by region. We note which regulators apply to which regions. Where possible, we check regional offerings separately.
